I picked up the silliest little book a couple of weeks ago ('Essential English Swear Words' by Stewart Ferris) while browsing for something special. It's all about English swear words, and I guess people who don't live in the UK would probably not get some of them. The majority of the words though are totally 'gettable'. Here is my favourite:
"Fucked"
Definition - The final declaration that something is broken despite your attempts to repair it by hitting it and kicking it.
Usage - 'You're well and truly fucked'
Useful phrase for an Accident & Emergency doctor to a well-mashed patient
OMG! Just typing that took 10 minutes, I was laughing so hard! Ouch. Blue tummy now.
Ah...apparently I have an 'Expression Potential' of 93%...funny then how this is one of my favourite words! :-)
